Three very likable characters, sex at strange moments

I liked this book and really liked all three of the characters. I felt that the author was able to give us a picture of them, despite the book being pretty short. Unlike another reviewer, I liked what the younger man brought to the relationship. A couple of things bugged me: 1) I get that the bonding process made them incredibly horny, but there were a couple of times where they had sex that I just felt it was inappropriate given the urgency of other things going on around them. 2) As with the other books in this series (which I generally like a lot), the two-dimensional "evil" of the bad guys feels clumsy and cartoonish - I'd rather have a bad guy whose motivation is something other than that they are just plain "evil". All in all, I recommend this book and the rest of the series.

Extremely Enjoyable

I totaly enjoyed this story. I love menage stories and this one definately delivered. So many menage stories are just the same sex scenes over and over again, and also use crude terms for female parts which I really hate. These Dream stories are extremely erotic and I loved them. I read the 2nd, then the 1st and then the 3rd story within 2 days (i had to sleep sometime). I liked that along with the whole trio-bonding thing there was also the mystery of the "path" bad guys and the suspense of defeating them. Also the emerging powers of the diferent trio-bonds was fun to read aboout as they learned about them. The total acceptance and absolute love between the 3 in each of the stories was very special, especially in this book with a 40 year old woman, a 30ish man, and a 22 year old man. They were great together. I really hope Ms. Leaf writes another Dream book about the President's trio-bonding. That would be fun to read and I will keep a look out for it. I totally recommend this series to anyone who loves mmf menage stories, these are stellar. Enjoy.

Series is going downhill

What began, as a new exciting series, has begun to turn into mostly dream sex & menage sex. Don't get me wrong! I enjoy a hot menage story as much as any other reader of the genre & this author does deliver that pretty spectacularly.

My problem? What initially drew me in was the spin of the virus that created the 'bond-mates', the fight of good vs. evil as the creator's of the 'Path' drug began kidnapping bonded-mates, the story-telling around the development of the trio-bonds powers. The author spent more time on sex than anything & and this story could have been so much more & came across as rushed. Let's write sex for sex sake, rather than using it as a driver to a deeper story.

What I expected?
A deeper look into what/who created the virus, it's spread, etc... That wasn't, really, even addressed.
A more vast/stronger evil that would be battled by, not only, this books characters but also by adding in the character's from the previous ones. Instead we got a few phone calls all by one character of the 1st book.
A discussion/explanation of the character's powers - these were glossed over as the characters simply 'knowing'.
There were a lot of writer's conveniences used & I have to say I was disappointed in this installment. All of the conveniences were used simply to create more oppotunities for sex - which while well-written, were mostly repetitive from the previous two books.

Also, it may be just me, but the May-December thing between a 40 yr old woman & 22 yr old young man had a certain 'squick' factor. It also didn't add to the storyline. If bonded-mates are brought together by 'fate' why in the world would 'fate' bring together two individuals 18 yrs apart? It may seem romantic to some, but as a middle-aged woman myself, the practicality just isn't there. I couldn't see those two together at 42 & 60, yrs later. I know you can't choose who you love, but really? There needs to be some sense of commonality. I could understand the 35 yr old & her but the 22 yr old just creeped me out.

I really, really like this author and hope that if she intends to add to the series that she'll take the time to give more depth to the storyline. Great sex sells, but great stories have more than great sex & writer's conveniences.
