Baby Steps!

I have used this book to help me take "baby steps" and make many changes in my home. I tend to take it one space at a time and clean/declutter/reorganize. This book has helped me figure it out also Home Organization: Decluttering Tips And Orgnization Ideas That Work! (Special Edition)..both highly recommended!

Short, not particularly sweet, to the point. The author offers the basics for decluttering but, equally important, takes a look at how and why we collect and create clutter and why it's often difficult to get rid of it. She also offers a great first step, when she explains how to analyze your home, room by room. I seem to spend my life clearing clutter and this approach seems sure to make it easier. A great book for someone who seriously wants to deal with clutter, but doesn't have time to read two or three hundred pages of ideas and suggestions.

Self Help Book That Didn't Help me

I like it when these kinds of books give you info you are looking for in an organized way, almost in an outline. This book had some good ideas, but I'd seen them all before in other books or magazines (even on the internet). Also, I don't like all the "conversational chit-chat." Just tell me how to do what the title suggests with methods I don't know already.
